Amani is an accredited training provider with Services SETA (South Africa’s Sector Education and Training Authority) – Unit Standards within Beauty Qualification 80646
Amani has Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program approval from South African Association of Health & Skincare Professionals (SAASHP)
We only make use of ETDP (Education, Training and Development Practitioners) Qualified, and Constituent registered facilitators, Assessors and moderators.

Starter Skills

Starter Skills Training Programme

The Starter Skills Training Programme is an entry-level course designed for individuals aspiring to enter the spa industry. This program offers fundamental training that equips learners with the essential skills and knowledge needed to begin their careers. Upon completion, participants receive certification, laying the groundwork for a successful journey in the spa profession.

Industry Entry:

To advance the career path of individuals seeking to enter the beauty industry by putting basic, entry level skills in place.

Lateral Career Development:

To advance the career path of individuals who are employed in positions such as front office, administration, housekeeping, and waitressing. They have not had fundamental training from formal institutions.

Community Upliftment:

To give women in underprivileged communities the opportunity to develop a career path in the Spa & Beauty Industry by putting a skill set in place supporting a sustainable career path.

Entry Requirements

A minimum qualification of Grade 10
Must have Fundamental Numeracy & English Literacy as achieved
Must be older than 18 year

This programme is customised around your business, taking into consideration your brand identity, strategy, standards, and specific guest experience requirements. The aim is to streamline, enhance and improve your operation by incorporating Amani’s foundational brand and operational standards. Consistent support ensures sustainable, efficient and profitable business solutions, with a focus on delivering an unparalleled guest experience.

Skills development for individuals who have informal training and work experience in the spa industry:

To advance the career path of individuals who have not had
fundamental training from formal Institutions, but have already gained working experience and inhouse training. Through the development of Brand Standards, as well as Operational and Treatment SOPs, additional training enhances existing skills.

Skills development for qualified therapists:

Upskilling, correcting gaps in fundamental training, and enhancing the current skill set.

Entry Requirements

A minimum qualification of Grade 10
Must have Fundamental Numeracy & English Literacy as achieved
Must be older than 18 year
Informal workplace training in a spa
Candidate must be selected by management of the spa, lodge and / or hotel
to participate in the program, with a guarantee of employment
